Business Name: Market House Theatre
132 Market House Square
Paducah, KY 42001
The Market House Theatre develops and nurtures local residents to become performers through arts education classes and the production of plays. The organization brings theatre into the schools, using arts educator residencies and helps schools use theatre as a teaching tool for math, science, social studies, history and literacy. Market House Theatre also is committed to providing a safe place to explore difficult social issues that affect the community through the performance of plays and audience “talk back” conversations.
PLAY TIME: INTERACTIVE THEATRE SHOWS FOR AGES 3-6—School’s Studio Theatre is transformed into an intimate magical Clubhouse where youngsters listen for the secret word of the day, interact with puppets, help the Clubhouse gang dramatize the day’s story and more! Great for preschools, child care centers, kindergarten classes and families.
When it’s PLAY TIME – children spend time with Ollie the Ostrich and her friends from The Clubhouse at The Market House Theatre acting out stories from around the world! Children participate in songs, pantomime, rhymes and role-playing while they help with the day’s story. Learn the secret handshake and the Clubhouse Pledge and don’t forget your keys to unlock the huge rainbow storybook!

So grab your map as we prepare to act our way through different terrains while meeting unforgettable creatures and characters along the way!
Don’t look under your bed…because the Monsters are coming out and they’re ready to play! Come join us for a six week in-depth look into the world of the hairy, long-clawed, googly-eyed – and often hilarious – monster! Each week your child will hear a tale about a different creature, create monster costume pieces and accessories, then get a chance to bring out their “wilder side” as we explore the basics of acting.
